Fomento started the Fomento Scholars program in the year 2014. Under this program, some talented students, who have joined Std XI Science in the academic year in higher secondary schools based in Goa are selected. Program Coordinator Uday Ballikar pointed out that the students are guided and helped to join SDSMT, a reputed engineering college in the USA. To date, 30 boys and girls have joined this college. Those who are graduated are either pursuing post-graduation in reputed companies like Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Lyft, Freeport Mcron, Cargill etc. Ballikar said students of Std XI Science of this academic year with a minimum score of 85 per cent at Std X and interested to join Engineering at SDSMT, USA after passing STD XII should visit the website www.fomentoscholars.org and apply on or before November 30, 2022. Other details will be informed through emails once students fill out the online application.
