The paper entitled ‘Modelling of Challenges towards Achieving Sustainability: A Case of Indian Food Processing Industry’ won the Best Paper award at the 15th Global Conference on Business and Social Sciences held at Thailand (in person and online) organized by Global Academy of Training & Research. The paper was authored by A V S Durga Prasad, PhD Scholar and Prof Ch V V S N V Prasad, head, Department of Economics and Finance at BITS Pilani Goa. The study is the first of its kind from an Indian food processing industry’s perspective. In this study, the authors identified, analyzed, and prioritized various challenges associated with sustainability in the Indian food processing industry using interpretive structural modelling. The Indian food processing sector faces challenges such as poor government policies, lack of management commitment, inadequate supply chain infrastructure, lack of food quality and safety, food waste, greenhouse gas emissions, etc associated with sustainability.
