Babesh Borkar, a journalist with electronic media was elected as the new president of Canacona Patrakar Sangh. The new committee of Canacona Patrakar Sangh under the presidentship of Borkar was elected for a three-year term.
The new committee is as follows: President Babesh Borkar, Vice-president-I Bernard Fernandes, Vice-president-II Dhiraj Kankonkar, Secretary Subhash Mahale, Joint secretary Harishchandra Kholkar, Treasurer Santosh Naik Gaonkar, Advisors Ajit Poinginkar, Ramesh B Komarpant and Narayan Dessai Executive Members Devidas Gaonkar, Premanand Gaonkar, Sanjay Komarpant, Ulhas Gaonkar and Abel Barretto. The outgoing committee with Ajit Poinginkar as president will handover the charge to enable functioning of new committee from August 15 for a 3-year term.
