The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Women’s Wing in association with Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (FiiRE) has launched the Business Diva Competition 2021 on March 1. The competition is powered by Geno Foundation, a trust managed in association with Geno Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd. The last date to apply for the competition is March 29. The finals will be on April 20 and the prize distribution on April 23. The event will be coordinated by Inseyah Ali (business development manager, FiiRE), Pallavi Salgaocar (chairperson, GCCI Women’s Wing) and Poonam Shirsat (co-chair, GCCI Women’s Wing) and supported by other staff from FiiRE and members of GCCI Women’s Wing.
Women above the age of 18 with innovative businesses can participate in the competition which will be held in two categories. Category one is for business in operation for less than two years (starting up) and category two is for business in operation for more than two years (scaling up). The winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes along with support from FiiRE, mentoring by industry veterans, networking opportunities and access to funding opportunities.
