Madganvcho Awaaz and youth leader Prabhav Naik has written to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant urging the government to expedite the Mathgram Vidya Sankul project at Davorlim, describing it as a transformative initiative for Margao and South Goa. Naik said that Madganvcho Awaaz first submitted a memorandum to the South Goa District Collector on August 12, 2024, seeking the gradual shifting of major educational institutions from the heart of Margao to the proposed educational hub at Davorlim. The matter was subsequently followed up with the government on February 3, 2025. He further pointed out that the issue was raised in the Goa Legislative Assembly on July 28, 2025, when Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai secured an assurance from the Chief Minister that the process would be initiated within three months. Naik noted that during the 2026-27 Budget Speech on March 6, 2026, the Chief Minister announced that work on the integrated school complex at Davorlim had commenced. He urged the government to now expedite implementation and complete the project within a defined timeframe. He said the Vidya Sankul would help decongest Margao, reduce traffic around educational institutions, and create a modern educational ecosystem with better infrastructure for future generations.
