Bart de Jong, Consul General of the Netherlands in Mumbai met CII Goa members and interacted on pertinent matters in sectors related to logistics, e-mobility, maritime, tourism, water etc with an objective to intensify the scope of interactions between the state and the Netherlands from a government, business and people-to-people perspective. He discussed and exchanged ideas on exploring the potential areas of cooperation and stated that the Netherlands sees numerous opportunities to cooperate in the state of Goa and that he was keen to link such possibilities through their ongoing efforts in different sectors, under its economic diplomacy that is mainly associated with increasing the bilateral engagement through trade and investment-related work. Bart de Jong was also briefed about the various CII Goa initiatives related to the development of the logistics sector into a multi-modal hub with advanced warehousing facilities and infrastructure, nautical tourism for attracting high-end tourism into the state, the concept of Work from Goa and enhancing the start-ups eco-system in the state. Bart de Jong also expressed his support in further engaging through an Annual Bilateral Forum on Ports and Maritime Affairs, to be organised later this year.
