A youth from Chattisgarh residing in Sodiem-Siolim was rescued after falling into a well while trying to rescue his cat on Wednesday afternoon. The pet cat had fallen into a 25-foot well and Kavish Saabri (24) descended into the well with the help of a rope and rescued the cat. The rope, however, snapped and he fell into the well. A Mapusa fire tender later rescued him from the well.
