CANACONA
Cyclists of ‘The Pedals Pride, Goa’ conducted a drive to collect bottles and plastic waste found on the road leading to Chapoli Dam in Canacona.
“The Pedals Pride, Goa consists of 24 members engaged in daily rides, long fun-trails, cleanliness drives, awareness rides as part of our club activities,” said Prasad Sudhir, one of the members.
“Our motto is ‘Don’t wait for October 2 to clean’ and it is sad to see people carelessly leaving waste everywhere.”
The group collected two bags of glass bottles and three bags of plastic garbage and later took them to the municipal dump yard behind the Canacona Municipal Council building. Among the riders involved in the drive were Prasad Sudhir, Samay Sudhir, Gautam Dessai, Jay Pagi, Sanil Gado, Pradnesh Pagi and Adheesh Kudtadkar.
