On the occasion of Diocesan Biblical Apostolate Sunday, the Diploma Day of the Parables of Jesus course was celebrated on January 23, at St Michael Church with the Eucharistic mass celebrated by Filipe Neri Ferrão, Archbishop of Goa and Daman, in presence of Fr Mariano D’Costa, parish priest Fr Cipriano Da Silva, asst parish priest Fr Joephil Dias, and Fr Denrish D’Costa. A total of 47 participants received the diploma, and five children (10-13 age group) were felicitated for attending the course regularly at the hands of the Archbishop. The course, which was conducted by Fr Mariano D’Costa, Director, Diocesan Biblical Apostolate, began on February 25, 2021 and culminated in mid-January 2022. After the mass, a cultural performance consisting of a prayer dance, mando, depiction of women in the Bible, English & Konkani skits, song by Jonas, and kotti dance was staged at the St Michael Church community centre. The celebration concluded with a fellowship lunch.
