Club Filmatics under the leadership of Asst. Prof Sonika Lotlikar organized a special interactive session with a trio of young Goan filmmakers whose films were selected for the International Film Festival of India. The workshop was held on February 10 at the AV Hall of Don Bosco College, Panjim. The resource persons for the workshop included: Director Rajaram Gopal, Cinematographer Tejas Naik, and Producer Ankita Volvoikar. The session had an amazing kick start with the screening of "Maarwat" and "Nimnya Disa," which were the films made by them. The students then shared their feedback about what they felt about the films. The resource persons told the students about the process as well as the challenges in filmmaking such as scene designing and budgeting. They also talked about Goan films and traditions. Additionally, as a part of the workshop, they conducted a special activity wherein the students had to create a short film/scene using only 3 shots. The Filmatics council reshuffle announcement was also held at the end of the workshop. Devonna Gomes and Joel Rodrigues were promoted to President and Vice President respectively and Mario Pimenta continued to be the media coordinator of the club. The session concluded with the club in-charge Asst Prof Sonika Lotlikar, delivering a vote of thanks and presenting the guests with a memento as a token of appreciation.
