CANACONA
The two-day free health camp organised by the Shri Mallikarjun and Chetan Manju Desai College got off to a flying start on Saturday, with hundreds of people getting checked by a team of doctors at the Canacona Municipal Hall in Chaudi-Canacona. The camp was conducted in coordination with Victor Hospital, Sarthak Foundation and 'Goa Reform'. Blood donation, general medical check-up, neurologist consultation, eye check-up, blood pressure, urine and blood sugar tests, as well as a kidney check was done on the first day of the camp. The camp began with the lighting of traditional lamp by the college Chairman Chetan Desai, while the principal Dr Rupa Chari welcomed the gathering. Dr Shefali Anand Painginkar, Dr Sahil Desai, 'Goa Reforms' Dr Devdutt, Dr Nilesh Lolayenkar of Sarthak Foundation, National Coordinator Sudesh Narvekar, Dr Prajyot Mahale and IQAC Coordinator Vivid Pavaskar were present. On Sunday, ayurvedic doctor consultation and seven days of free medicines, gynaecologist consultation, paediatrician consultation, blood pressure, urine and blood sugar test, and kidney check-up will be done at the camp.
