Cortalim PHC Health Officer Dr Socorro Quadros on Friday said industries were one of the main contributors to the rising cases detected by the Cortalim PHC.
“A large number of industries fall under the jurisdiction of Cortalim PHC and employees have also been living in and around Cortalim area. As a result, may of these employees had been infected and there was a rising Covid graph in Cortalim PHC,” said Dr Quadros.
Advising people not to take Covid lightly, Dr Quadros reassured people there was no need to fear, but said taking precaution was of utmost importance.
