Maintaining the rising trend, 72 new cases of Covid-19 infection were reported from the six health centres in Bardez on Friday.
The largest chunk of cases came from Candolim Primary Health Centre (PHC) with 31 cases, followed by Porvorim PHC with 13 cases.
According to the Health Officer at Porvorim PHC Dr Roshan Nazareth, eight persons tested positive in Calangute, seven in Candolim, five in Pilerne, four each in Saligao and Reis Magos, two in Sangolda and one in Nerul.
In Porvorim PHC, seven persons tested positive in Socorro, four in Penha de France and two in Guirim.
The Health Officer at Mapusa Urban Health Centre, Dr Cheryl de Souza informed that 10 positive cases were recorded at the Mapusa centre.
Four persons tested positive in Pedem, two in Duler and one each in Dangui Colony, Dattawadi, Ansabhat and Morod.
According to Health Officer at Siolim PHC, Dr Sadhna Shetye nine persons were infected with the virus in Siolim centre. Three persons were tested positive in Anjuna, two each in Canca and Siolim-Marna and one each in Assagao and Parra.
Colvale PHC reported five positive cases. The Health Officer, Dr Damodar Narvenkar informed that five persons tested positive in Tivim and one each in Colvale and Pirna.
According to the Health officer at the Aldona PHC Dr Preetam Naik, four persons were infected with the virus at the centre. Two persons tested positive in Bastora and one each Moira and Nachinola.
