The ‘Society of Pilar’ has been engaging in the promotion of dialogue and harmony through its institutions in Goa and beyond, as part of the noble understanding of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the whole world is one family).
Moving in this direction, the Pilar Animation Centre (Pilar-Goa) has begun ‘Sadbhav’, an endeavour to foster interfaith relations and communal harmony.
On Tuesday, an interfaith celebration of Christmas was held in Pilar along with members of the core team of ‘Sadbhav’ who had gathered to interact and discuss the vision and objectives of ‘Sadbhav’.
Tallulah D’Silva, Heta Pandit, Ambrin Beig and Ulhas Gaonkar represented the different faiths and shared their insights and ideas during the programme.
Fr Sebastiao Mascarenhas, Superior General of the Society of Pilar, spoke about the engagement of the Society of Pilar in promoting interfaith dialogue, through various initiatives focused on harmony, culture, dialogue and spirituality.

He said this interfaith forum would continue to radiate the values of peace and harmony and strengthen the ideal of harmonious living in communities, neighbourhoods, educational institutions and places of worship.
