Acting on a tip-off, the Old Goa police caught red-handed a 22-year-old Karnatka native Kumar Swami with ganja worth Rs 84,000 on Thursday, and placed him under arrest. According to information available, Swami was caught with the ganja weighing 84 grams at the quarry at Xirent-Chimbel where the police had laid a trap. The police informed that the person is believed to be the main supplier of marijuana in Chimbel and Merces areas. Old Goa PSI Edwin Dias is conducting further investigations into the matter under the supervision of PI Satish Padwalkar.
