It was not only hectic work but work with fun at the Mapusa Police Station after a mega “haldi kumkum” event was organised in the Mapusa Police Sub-Division office on Saturday evening. Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi informed that event saw an overwhelming response as the lady police staff along with the wives of male police staff and other prominent citizens of Mapusa, Colvale and Anjuna participated in the event. “Many a times due to hectic duty hours the lady staff cannot attend such haldi kumkum functions. This function was an effort to bring them all together. The wives of male police staff also got a chance to interact with the other police staff and citizens on the occasion,” Dalvi said. The event was followed by games, fashion show and dance competition where the winners were also suitably awarded. “This celebration brought smiles on the faces of the participants especially among the lady staff of the Mapusa Police Sub-Division,” the SDPO said.
