The Directorate of Art & Culture has organized all Goa Matoli and Dekhawa competitions during Ganesh festival.The Matoli decoration competition will be for individual households at state level. The same will be conducted from 3rd to 6th day of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival i.e.( September 12 to 15). There will be 1st prize of Rs15,000, 2nd prize of Rs 10,000 and 3rd prize of Rs 7,500. There will be five consolation prizes of Rs 5,000. The Dekhawa presentation competition will be only for Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandals at State level. The same will be conducted from 7th to 10th day of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival i.e.(September 16 to 19). There will be 1st prize of Rs25,000, 2nd prize of Rs 20,000 and 3rd prize of Rs15,000. Also five consolation prizes of Rs7,000 will be awarded. Interested individuals and Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandals may collect the application forms for participating from the office of the Directorate of Art & Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji-Goa (Ph. 2404640) Ravindra Bhavan Curchorem,Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Ravindra Bhavan, Baina Vasco, Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali & Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda-Goa and also download the prescribed form from the Art and culture website: www.artandculture.goa.gov.in from August 24 and submit the forms by September 3.
