PANAJI: The Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan, a Goa-based organization dedicated to social service, will be providing oxygen concentrators to needy Covid patients. Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL), PSU of Ministry of Defence has donated five concentrators to Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan.
The Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan was meeting the needs of the Covid patients on existing two available concentrators. Now as five more concentrators have been added to the account, the Pratishtan will be able to serve more needy patients. The Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan have thanked Chief Commander of Goa Shipyard Bharat Bhushan Nagpal. Amit Kumar, Deputy Manager, CSR Department, GSL called on Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Defence and handed over the oxygen Concentrators.
Many social organizations are coming forward to help the distressed Covid patients. Free meals are being provided by the NGOs along with the concentrators to the hospitalized and home isolated patients.
Matrubhumi Seva Pratishthan, a leading social service organization, have decided to provide free concentrators to the patients on rotation basis. Whether a patient really needs the support of a concentrator will be determined by Dr Hemant Gupta, officer, CCRAS, Goa division, has been appointed by the Pratishtan specially for this particular task.
