Former Colva Sarpanch and panch member, Menino Fernandes has started Covid testing facility and provided other amenities for people of his ward.
The panchayat member has formed a team that will liaison with the people of the ward for the facilities, including the Covid testing facility.
“While I have arranged a person at my residence to test the people for Covid, I can provide the facility at the doorsteps of the people if they cannot come to my residence,” he added.
Saying that he has purchased two generators to be provided to the people and will distribute masks and sanitize the houses, Menino said “I was infected with Covid and by God's grace I have recovered. I have learnt how difficult it is. This is the time to help each other so I have decided to start these facilities for my ward people”.
Menino has also brought two wheelchairs, for hospital beds and two waterbeds for needy patients. “If any person needs medical facilities and he/she is financially week I will bear the expenses of the person and ambulance will also be made available and two generators,” he added.
