North Goa Banks have done a splendid job by achieving the target given under Annual Credit Plan. They have achieved 143% of Annual Credit Plan, said Union Minister Shripad Naik.
He was speaking at the North Goa District Level Review Committee meeting conveyed by Lead Bank and RBI held on Friday in Panjim. Narayan Gad, Additional Collector, North Goa, Cassian Gomes, Manager RBI, Sushil Naik, Assistant Manager, NABARD and Dnyaneshwar Thakre, Regional Manager SBI North Goa were present on this occasion. North Goa has also done well to increase account opening under Jan Dhan accounts. Aadhar seeding to 80% of the accounts has also been completed. The total deposit in these accounts is around 83.44 crores and is on the increase, Naik complemented. Naik urged the bankers also to achieve more than 80% in registering customers under Prime Minister Suraksha Bima Yojana and Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana as these two schemes are low premium Insurance Schemes of the Government for Social Security.
