Four members of the Camurlim Panchayat have filed a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Pandurang Gangaram Khorjuvekar.
After Thivim panchayat, this is the second panchayat to witness a no-confidence motion against the sarpanch in Tivim constituency and changes are likely to take place in both these panchayats.
In their notice of no-confidence submitted to the Bardez BDO, the four panchas “ Laxman Naik, Sanjana Mashelkar, Ranjana Naik Gaonkar and Chhaya Gad “ accused the sarpanch of failing to take other members into confidence and encouraged illegal constructions.
The no-confidence motion also alleges that the village is not being developed and the sarpanch has failed to cooperate with the panchayat members.
The other panchas are Deputy Sarpanch Sangita Pednekar and Dharma Parab.
