Pilar school organises 3-km brisk walk
Staff, parents and students of Fr Agnel Central School, Pilar take part in a 3-km Brisk Walk on October 9.

As a nationwide Fit India Movement, the Sports Club (Royal Agnelite) of Fr. Agnel Central School, Pilar, organised a 3-km Brisk Walk for the staff, parents and students on October 9.The event was launched by the chief guest, Damodar Verlekar, Talathi of the North Goa Collectorate in the Presence of Principal Fr Roncy Braganza, Coordinator Blossom Araujo and Agassaim Sarpanch Xavier Gracias. Damodar Verlekar shared his experience of participating in different endurance sports like cycling and marathons. He also explained the significance of fitness in our daily life.The purpose of this activity was to raise awareness on fitness, health and hygiene among the community and neighbourhood.About 80 participants while walking shouted slogans and created awareness on health, fitness and nutrition. During the closing ceremony, Fr. Roncy Braganza applauded the parents, teachers and students for maximum participation and enthusiasm in successfully completing the 3-km walk.
