The Photo Journalists Association Goa (PJAG), in association with the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Goa, will celebrate World Photography Day and the 19th anniversary of PJAG today (August 19) at the PJAG Office and Art Gallery, opposite Don Bosco School, Panaji. As part of the celebrations, PJAG will felicitate veteran photojournalist Nandesh Kambli and senior photographer Anil Babuso Naik in recognition of their valuable contribution to photojournalism and photography in Goa. A photo exhibition featuring works by press photographers will also be organised as part of the celebrations. The exhibition will be open to the general public from 12 noon to 6 pm on August 19 and from 10 am to 6 pm on August 20 at the PJAG Office and Art Gallery. PJAG will also distribute prizes to the winners of its Annual Photo Contest during the programme. PJAG has also organised a one-day Photojournalism Course for its members on August 20, which will focus on strengthening the skills and knowledge of practising photojournalists.
