The Goa State Pollution Control Board is about to get a new chairman. Government has initiated the process to appoint the Chairman and the member secretary for the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB).
The government has seeked applications for the posts and October 29 is the last date for application for the posts.
The term of earlier board constituted with Ganesh Shetgaonkar as chairman in December 2017 got over in three years of period.
The State Government had framed the appointment rules and guidelines for the post in February this year.
According to the new guidelines there would be 19 members board instead of 16 members that include chairman and member secretary and seventeen members to be nominated to represent interest of Agriculture, fishery, industry, trade and local authorities.
