GSUDA on Wednesday informed the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) that the proposal to construct an eco-friendly crematorium at Maimolem-Vasco for the council had received in-principle approval.
GSUDA Chief Project Officer Vijay Kumar Honawad while referring to letters of the Urban development and Murgao Hindu Samaj, informed the MMC chief officer that the proposal was placed before the 18th General Body meeting of GSUDA.
"After detailed deliberations, the project was approved in-principle under IDMT scheme. In this connection, you are requested to forward your council resolution to be executed by GSUDA along with relevant documents like ownership documents of the property, site plan or survey plan and certificate from the chief officer and municipal engineer stating that the said work has not been taken up under any scheme or agencies.”
“The documents may be submitted at the earliest in order to initiate further process," said the letter.
