PANAJI: The birth centenary celebrations of the late Goan writer and intellectual Ravindra Kelekar will begin on March 7 at 4 pm at Priol with the naming of the road in front of the late writer’s house as ‘Ravindra Kelekar Marg’ in the presence of Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude.
The Priol panchayat has recently passed a proposal regarding the naming of the road after Ravindra Kelekar. After the naming ceremony, the dignitaries will enter the house of Kelekar. Two magazines dedicated to the late Kelekar would be launched on the occasion. The event is organised by Rajbhasha Vibhag. The centenary celebrations would be held at different talukas across Goa with the participation of Goa Konkani Akademi, Goa University, and Ravindra Bhavans.
