Calangute Police apprehended two persons for illegal possession of narcotic drugs worth Rs 80,000.
The two accused, Vinay Kumar (28) and Chaitanya Konduri (25), both natives of Hyderabad, were found in possession of 800 gms of ganja which was concealed in the dicky of the scooter, police said.
A Calangute Police team led by Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo while patrolling snapped the two accused near a club in Baga.
During the search, the police team found the contraband hidden in the dickey of the scooter of the two accused.
“This is the 14th narcotic drugs case booked at Calangute Police Station for the current year. Goa Police is committed to zero tolerance towards drugs and our action against drugs and other illegalities will continue,” said Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo.
Lady Police Sub-Inspector Sapna Gawas is investigating further.
