UK Goans benefit from consular camp

A number of Goans in the UK on Sunday participated in a consular camp conducted by Swindon Borough Councillor Imtiyaz Shaikh and Adorabelle Amaral Shaikh in association with the Indian High Commission and VFS Global at the Pinetrees Community Centre in Swindon.

The services provided during the camp included passport renewal, passport surrender, OCI, birth registration, death registration, power of attorney, PCC and other consular attestations. Volunteers from the Swindon Goan Volunteers team assisted in the camp, which was run by High Commission of India in London Counsellor Anil Nautiyal and team.There were over 700 applications in total and a footfall of over 1,000 people who attended the camp from all over the UK, including Liverpool, Manchester, London, Wales, Winchester, Sussex and Kent.
