The North Goa Disaster Management Authority under the Chairmanship of the Collector(North) has planned a mock drill exercise on chemical disaster at Deccan Fine Chemicals Private Limited, Santa Monica Works, Corlim, Ilhas, Goa on October 30 from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm and have urged upon all stakeholders to be prepared on the given day for the drill.
This was disclosed by Mahadev Araundekar, Additional Collector “ III, North chairing a meeting to chalk and finalize the programme of all stakeholders on the proposed mock drill on chemical disaster so as to check the preparedness of the stakeholders to deal with such circumstances at Collectorate, North yesterday.Araundekar directed the stakeholders to appoint a Nodal Officer for disaster management and intimate the same to the Collector (North) immediately.All the line departments including Superintendent of Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Village Panchayat Corlim, Village Panchayat Se Old Goa, Village Panchayat Carambolim, Factories and Boilers, Electricity Department, Directorate of Health, Goa State Pollution Control Board, PWD, WRD, will be participating in the Mock Drill.
