The Valpoi Municipal Council (VMC) will meet on Wednesday to discuss the long-pending Traffic Plan for Valpoi town. There have been persistent demands for a Traffic Plan since the last years, considering the rapid growth in traffic and the constant traffic jams in many parts of the municipality. A number of meetings have been convened in the past but the Traffic Plan is yet to be finalised. The constant traffic jams have delayed office-goers and students alike, compelling many students to walk home and this has prompted unhappy parents to raise demands for a better traffic management plan. Taking note of growing concerns, the VMC has decided to convene a special meeting on Wednesday at 10.30 am in the municipal hall. Councillors, police officials, social organisations, shopkeepers in Valpoi town and media persons have been invited to the meeting. The meeting will seek to approve the transport plan and it will then be notified and implemented in the town.
