Priti R Sheth has taken over as the seventh president of the Rotary Club of Miramar for the year 2022-23.
The installation ceremony was conducted for the new team which comprises Priti R Sheth (president) and Nikita Raykar (secretary), while the Board of Directors are Anshul Singhal, Bhavna Raikar, Bhushan Savoicar, Ebrahim Haroon, Pratima Dhond, Sandesh Gadvi, Siddharth Deshpande, Shantendu Mohite, Shreyas Lotlikar, Snehalata Pednekar, Sonia Bhosale, Sonali Nagvekar, Vijay Jain, Vijay Melwani.
The Rotary Club has been involved in a number of projects like pond restoration, irrigation system for farmers at Canacona, wash and sanitation project in Gaushala at Quepem.
The six-year-old Rotary Club has 45 members and concentrates on projects in basic education, happy schools, health awareness camps and a major focus on environment-related projects to bring awareness on sustainability, upcycling and nature conservation.
