The Carmel Ex-Students Association organised its annual singing competition on February 13, 2021. The competition was held in three categories -- Hindi, Konkani and English.
The judges were Kunal D’Costa, musician, singer-songwriter, and music educator for nine international schools across Mumbai and Pune; ex-students Daniella Fernandes, lead vocalist of the band Archies and winner of the all Goa Portuguese singing competition Vem Cantar three times in a row and Chriselda Rodrigues, singer-songwriter, YouTuber and best solo singer of the Kala Academy Tiatr Competition.
A total of 21 students made it to the finale of Voice of Carmel. The event was streamed live on the Carmel Instagram page and YouTube. In the Hindi category, Chandana R G won first place and Lisel Dias came second. In the Konkani category, Denzilla Menezes came first and Chiara Miranda won second place. Raina Gomes won the English category, Sephera de Matos Sequeira bagged second place and Mariamo Issufo came third.
