PANAJI: The eagerly anticipated 12th edition of the Goa Arts and Literature Festival (GALF) is scheduled to take place at the International Centre Goa (ICG) from February 15th to 17th. The festival boasts an impressive lineup of renowned writers and poets, promising an enriching experience for literature enthusiasts.
The distinguished participants include Toronto-based food writer Naomi Duguid, Franco-Indian novelist Ari Gautier, and notable debutants Devika Rege, Sohini Chattopadhyay, Yogesh Maitreya, Manish Gaekwad, and Abhishek Choudhary. The poetry segment will feature exceptional works by Meena Kandasamy, Mustansir Dalvi, and Ranjit Hoskote. Additionally, the festival will host a stellar array of national literary treasures, including I. Allan Sealy, Mamang Dai, KR Meera, Robin Ngangom, Vivek Shanbhag, and Mini Krishnan.
The inauguration of GALF 2024 is set to take place at ICG on February 15th at 5:30 pm. The ceremony will include the unveiling of the official festival artwork by Sagar Naik Mule, an exclusive book launch featuring Damodar Mauzo’s latest novel, “Boy, Unloved,” translated by Jerry Pinto, and a poetry reading by Robin Ngangom. The festival will culminate with a captivating performance by the Stuti Choir led by Parvesh Java, presenting John Tavener’s renowned Tribute to Cavafy at 6 pm on February 17th.
