MARGAO: Former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat emphasized the duty of the Saraswat community to foster unity among all communities for the collective progress and development of India, echoing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kamat made these remarks during the inauguration of the three-day Goa Saraswat Festival organized by the Goa Saraswat Samaj at the BPS club in Margao on Friday.
In attendance were prominent figures such as the Chairperson of Women Commission, Ranjita Pai, and the President of Goa Saraswat Samaj, Dr. Desh Prabhudesai. Kamat commended the Saraswat community for its significant contributions to the nation’s advancement in education and business.
The former Chief Minister also praised the organizers, Goa Saraswat Samaj, for successfully conducting the festival for the past two decades. According to Kamat, the festival provides a platform for community members to showcase their talents, offering exposure and recognition in their respective fields.
