The results of the preliminary round of the first-ever Fit India Quiz, India's biggest sports and fitness quiz for students were announced on Tuesday and the first three positions have been bagged by students in three schools in Goa “ Sahil Sachin Shetty of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Narayan Bandekar School from South Goa stood first in the preliminary round, while Ziyan Charania of Navy Children School stood second and Nadia Nicole Soares Souza of Manovikas English Medium School from South Goa stood third. Among the other schools that qualified in the preliminary round are Mother of Mercy English High School, St Joseph’s Institute, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Convent High School, St Thereza’s Convent High School and Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary School, Bicholim. The preliminary round of the Fit India Quiz, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports saw participants from 13,502 schools from more than 659 districts across the country, out of which students of 361 schools across 36 States and Union Territories have now been shortlisted for the State Rounds.
