The 41st installation ceremony of Lions of Canacona and the third installation of Leo Club of Canacona was held recently. The club’s first lady president Lion Patricia Mendonca e Torres and Leo Deepa Gosavi with their board of directors for the year 2021-22 were present on the occasion.
The outgoing secretary presented the report of community activities and outreach programmes in the presence of the guest of honour MJF Lion Dr Celso Fernandes. Fernandes stressed upon his region service activity towards improving sanitary conditions with toilet facility up-gradation at schools and living and fighting with diabetes.
The chief guest and installation officer Lion Vividh Pawaskar installed the incoming board of Lions Canacona and Leos of Canacona. Lions - Patricia Mendonca e Torres, Shainaz Khan, Motesino Fernandes, Yogita Vernekar, Shilpa Nayak and Leo Deepa Gosavi, Adonna Barreto, Vaughan Torres, Shrividya Komarpant, Ulhas Phal Dessai and others were present on the occasion.
