MARGAO: Agxem SC defeated Corjem Youth Club by a convincing 3-1 win in the Curtorim inter-ward football tournament, organised by SC Virabhat Curtorim, at the St Alex Church ground in Curtorim.
Agxem took an early lead in the 10th minute with a goal from Alroy Gomes. He continued his impressive performance, scoring another goal just five minutes later to put his team comfortably ahead 2-0 at half-time.
The second half saw Agxem maintain control by adding a third goal through Nickson Castanha in the 35th minute. Corjem Youth Club managed a consolation goal in the 40th minute thanks to Rhay Dias, but it was not enough to prevent Agxem from securing a decisive victory. Alroy Gomes' stellar performance earned him the Man of the Match award which was presented by Lester Dias.
