According to reports, a person had filed a complaint with the vigilance department of the electricity department stating that an employee of the electricity department had been illegally tapping electricity.

They then went to the adjacent bungalow located by the roadside and observed that the electricity connection had been diverted from from the ground floor to the upper floor.

The vigilance officers detained the owner of the bungalow and told him that they would inspect his entire bungalow thoroughly and accordingly informed the police.

A Mopa police team reached the bungallow and when the vigilance officers inspected the bungalow in the presence of police, they found that power supply was being illegally illegally on the first floor of the house.

Several ACs and electrical appliances were being used on the first floor, while there were negligible appliances on the ground floor. The high consumption of electricity was on the upper floor and this power consumption was being used for free.

After inspecting the entire house, the vigilance officers sealed the electricity connection of the entire house and imposed a fine of Rs 6,48 644. The fine was imposed for the usage of power for one year and further action will be taken after conducting a detailed enquiry as to how long the owner was residing in the bungalow, who issued him the power supply, etc.
