The Directorate of Fisheries has invited application for centrally sponsored scheme “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana”, (PMMSY) interested applicants can avail 40% subsidy for General category and 60% subsidy for SC/ST/Women on the unit cost of Rs 5 lakh per cage, maximum of 5 cages per individual beneficiary.
Similarly, in case of groups of fisherfolk and fish farmers i.e. fisherfolk SHGs/Joint Liability Groups (JLGs)/Fisherfolk Cooperatives etc. or those undertaken in a cluster/area approach, the number of cages for Governmental Assistance will be limited to 2 x number of members of such group with a ceiling of 50 cages per group.
The interested applicants may kindly submit detailed project report along with duly filled application forms which are available on the official website www.fisheries.goa.gov.in on or before December 15.
