Govt restricts bursting of firecrackers for Diwali

The Department of Environment as per the Supreme Court judgment and orders has restricted bursting of fire crackers during the Diwali festival this year.

On the day of the Diwali i.e. on November 14 fire crackers are allowed to be bursted in the morning from 4.30 am to 5.30 am and in the evening from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm strictly.

For the days during the Diwali festival period i.e on November 15 and 16 which is being observed in the State of Goa, the fire crackers bursting time shall be strictly restricted between 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm only.

The Police Station In-Charge of the respective Police Station shall be fully responsible for implementation of the Supreme Court directions, as informed by Department of Information and Publicity.
