Bastille Day celebrated at Rosary HS Cujira

PANAJI: The Rosary High School at Cujira-Bambolim celebrated the Bastille Day, the French national day on July 14, to commemorate the storming of the Bastille Prison in 1789 and the start of the French Revolution.

Students who have opted for French along with the teacher Andrea D’Cunha put up a programme giving all a glimpse of France. The Chief Guest for the day was Claire Miranda, a French Teacher who remains immortalised in the Goa Board Class 9 Pas à Pas French textbook.

The programme started with the French national anthem, followed by a melodious musical performance, dances, nursery rhymes, quizzes, PowerPoint presentations on the history of France and French-speaking countries and an exhibition on French culture.

PANAJI: The NSS unit and the ECO club of St Francis Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Siolim celebrated Van Mahotsav at SFX pre-primary school, Siolim by planting variety of plant saplings in the category of flowering, ornamental, vegetable, medicinal and fruit bearing.The theme of the project was ‘Each One Plant One’.
