MARGAO: Chandor Club defeated Navelim Sporting Club 3-1 to enter the final of the Lourdes soccer inter-village football tournament, organised by Ambelim SC, at Ambelim ground, on Friday.
Prestly Gomes of Navelim opened the scoreline in the eighth minute but the joy was short-lived as Shafik equalised for Chandor in the 28th minute.
As the match progressed, in the second half, Sheldon Piexitto netted the second goal for Chandor in the 48 th minute. Silidon Piexitto further inflated the lead in the 60th minute for Chandor.
Silidon Piexitto of Chandor was presented the man of the match award. Chandor club will meet Carmona SC in the final on February 11.
