OLD GOAThe Jesuits of Goa Province will organise a “Choral Christian Music Concert” at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Old Goa, on Saturday at 6 pm, to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the canonization of their founding fathers, St Ignatius of Loyola and St Francis Xavier. The Concert promises an elegant festivity of choral music. Choral Music from its very inception in Goa had given a celestial experience towards liturgical services and worship. Three Choral Concert Groups will be enthralling the audience with celestial voices. The ‘Divine Harmony Choir’ is directed by Jason Quadros from Moira. The second choral group is the ‘Aradhon Choir’ directed by Omar de Loiola Pereira. The third choral group is the ‘AMDG Voices’. The Choir is conducted by Edgar Mendes and the musical arrangement is done by Fr Amit D’Souza.
Guv inaugurates Marathi book ‘Pratibimb’
PANAJIGovernor P S Sreedharan Pillai inaugurated a new Marathi book entitled Pratibimb, by writer and career columnist Ramdas V Kelkar at a function held at Raj Bhavan recently. At the time of releasing the book the Governor praised the efforts of the writer who has 24 books to his credit.
