There is no doubt that traffic rules are important and they should be followed strictly in order to ensure that everyone is safe on the roads.
Traffic rules have been in place in several other cities/States in the country. But, the question is, are people following the rules? If only people would follow traffic rules life would be so much safer.
Take for instance, the recent case of a doctor driving on the wrong side of a flyover in Mumbai and a young biker riding in that direction was thrown off 30 ft onto the road below and lost his life.
Who is responsible for the death of this youngster? If only that doctor would have followed the basic traffic rules, this precious life would have been saved.
It is good that the authorities have also started awareness campaign on social media. But, I think, it should come from within -- I am responsible for my own life & for the lives of others. Follow the traffic rules and leave the rest to God!
