Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has extended his wholehearted greetings to the people of the State, on the momentous occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day and paid rich tributes to the great personalities, whose struggle and sacrifices made India a free and democratic country. In his message, Chief Minister said, “Republic day is celebrated with patriotic dedication all around the country. It honours the enactment of the Constitution of India which came into force on January 26, 1950. As citizens of the largest democratic country in the world, we always respect our noble constitution. Constitution is our pride and our dedication to the constitution is important as it guides our efforts towards nation-building, he said. “On this righteous day of the country, let us pay tribute to the memory of the patriotic heroes and martyrs who have made immense sacrifices for our freedom and democracy. On this significant occasion, let us reaffirm our commitment to the ideals enshrined in our Constitution,” CM concluded.
