Emphasising ‘Vocal for Local’, the Shristhal Panchayat in association with Biodiversity Management Committee and guidance under Swayampurna Mitra, has organised a Diwali Bazaar on Thursday and Friday.
“With the theme of "Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swayampurna Goa and Swavlambi Shristhal," the stalls will be provided outside the Panchayat for all type of local products with the intention to provide all products under one roof and also to promote such rural products as Vocal for Local,” said sarpanch Ganesh Gaonkar.
The bazaar will be inaugurated by Dy Speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes at 10 am on Thursday.
Dharbandora BDO, Milind Velip, who is appointed as Swayampurna Mitra, along with Panchayat Members and BMC Members will be present for the inaugural function. Gaonkar has appealed to the public to visit the two-day Diawali Bazaar.
