'Chinchare,' a book compiled from various interviews of Goans dealing in traditional occupations, was released by Cortalim MLA and Chairman of the Goa Khadi and Village Industries Board Anton Vaz at a function organised by the Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) in the Mathew Centre Hall in Cortalim on February 8. The book is authored by Anthony Miranda of Cortalim. A former sarpanch, Miranda has dedicated himself to societal welfare and has made substantial contributions to Konkani theatre, having written, directed, and acted in numerous dramas. Vincy Quadros spoke about the book, stating, “The book is a compilation of interviews highlighting traditional occupations and businesses." Vas pledged support to the promotion of Roman Konkani script. Celso Fernandes, the President of Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) also praised Anthony Miranda's work and highlighted the importance of preserving Roman Konkani.
