Cortalim Zilla Panchayat member Merciana Vas on Thursday morning launched the work to lay pavers at Kurpawado in Quelossim. The project, estimated at Rs 10 lakh, is being undertaken through ZP funds with additional support from the 15th Finance Commission. The launch was attended by Quelossim Sarpanch Francisco Xavier Figueiredo along with other panchayat members. Vas highlighted the challenges faced by the residents of Kurpawado due to the narrow and deteriorated access road. The paver-laying works are expected to be completed within two weeks.
