The birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, architect of the Constitution of India is celebrated every year on April 14 and in recognition of the same, a public function is celebrated at Ambedkar Garden, Panaji, where the garlanding of the statue of Dr Ambedkar is done by the dignitaries in the presence of community people and the general public.
Given the pandemic and Covid safety guidelines issued by the government, the government has decided to celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar on April 14, 2021, strictly by garlanding the statue in the presence of a maximum of 50 persons. The Chief Minister will be garlanding the statue at 10.30 am at the aforesaid venue.
Hence, all the organizations are hereby advised not to organize the public function amid the health emergency forced by Covid.
