Dr Pinto named to 3 int’l pathology panels

MAPUSA: Dr R G Wiseman Pinto, Professor of Pathology and former Head of Department and Dean at Goa University, has been appointed to three prestigious international pathology committees and panels in 2026. He will serve as Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Moderator and Faculty at the 7th SACH Conference (South Asian Academy of Cytopathology and Histopathology), to be held in Paro, Bhutan, on April 22 and 23.

Delegates from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Maldives, Myanmar, Bhutan and Vietnam are expected to participate.

Dr Pinto has also been named Chairman and Faculty at the AFCS (Asian Federation of Cytology Societies) Conference at Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong, from May 8 to 10, which will see participation from across Asia.

Additionally, he has been appointed to the International Scientific Committee of the 46th ECC (European Congress of Cytology) at the Hilton Hotel, Antwerp, Belgium, from October 4 to 7. He will speak on infectious diseases, salivary glands, bone pathology, cytopathology education in Asia, and the role of artificial intelligence.
